Asimo and security robots & question for next class

with 2 comments

Before intoroducing, innovative robots in Japan, I have some questions for next class.
Should we talk about “Game Design” in next class?  Is any game design OK?? and
Should we talk about a concept for assignment 2 ?

Asimo rents in Japan at 20 million yen (US$162,000) a year. It actually rents some compnies  for special events.

This is a history of Asimo.

ASIMO conducts the Detroit Symphony Orchestra

There are two famous robot security guards in Japan.

1. Secom (security company in Japan) supplies human security guards in Tokyo; it will supply the Secom Robot X for about 300,000 yen per month ($2,700), about half of the cost of hiring a human security guard to do the same job.

2. Alsok (another security company in Japan) robot
This security robot offers a face recognition feature.

  1. Talk about game design –> easiest way is to post it on the blog, I think.

Can’t wait for your amusement park game
