John Tonkin – time and motion study

with one comment

My favorite artwork is John Tonkin ” time and motion study (2006)”.

This  project creates a visualisation of time passing, through the collection of portraits. The artist have also explored the possibilities of the self-portrait. The display shows our self-images from different directions by moving the mouse and you can the images in 3D. It was like repetition of self-images. I actually tried to create a lot of my figures on the screen. It was quite fun!!

  1. i love this work 2. the 3d motion lets audiences to see the space inside the screen. is it using the Java script? i saw lot of MTV using this kind of techni, lot of portraits or figures on the screen insteads of motive image presenting the action of the characters. Somebody told me they use high quality video camera to capture the motion.
